How can NetServices assist my business in supporting remote and teleworking?

According to the UK Labour Force Survey, about 7.4% of the UK workforce, or 2.2M people, can be described as teleworkers i.e. they work at home at least one day per week. This number has grown rapidly and is continuing to increase as businesses attempt to meet the expectation of flexibility from their staff.

For most people working outside the main office e.g. from home whether occasionally or on a permanent basis, the expectation is that the corporate desktop should be extendable in its entirety to their remote location. In effect this means the phone would work as a fully functioning extension as if it were in the office and all enterprise applications could be accessed at a comparable speed and quality to being in the office.

In current work places compromise is almost always necessary, as IT departments have struggled to keep pace with the demand of a changing working environment and the costs of providing fully functional, high bandwidth voice and data connectivity has been prohibitive.

Our Solutions:

  • Networking

QoS DSL VPN - A QoS DSL network is the ideal solution for the corporate IT department aiming to extend the corporate network to teleworkers. Based on cost-effective technologies, the QoS DSL WAN can be implemented as a 'bolt-on' to the core corporate network and is fully managed by NetServices so involves no extra internal management resource.

  • Voice

NetServices offer a range of fully managed IP based hosted telephony platforms. Our Hosted IP Telephony services are highly feature rich and, most importantly within a teleworking environment, offer location independence. Once connected into the corporate network users have the same functionality as if in the office with voicemail, call divert and 'follow me' included as standard. NetServices manage each element of the service from the underlying network to the front end applications. And with NetServices networking expertise combined with our innovations on QoS over DSL, call quality is always assured.

Business Conferencing - For businesses with remote, mobile and diversely located staff, conferencing has become a valuable business telephony tool. Phone conferences provide a cost effective way for dispersed teams to keep in touch, whether for regular updates or simply when an issue arises that requires input from several people for an immediate resolution.

The NetServices conferencing platform is an enterprise-class conferencing bridge offering business users a flexible and cost effective conferencing service.

Systems integrators provide consultancy on Managed MPLS VPN networks to deliver Hosted IPT solutions. Short term Hosted IPT solutions with Managed IP trunks require QoS IPStream and for longer term install QoS DataStream services are recommended. Converged broadband installations for Video services use QoS DSL and QoS ADSL technology to enable economical delivery of managed video network solution that includes Video over mobile using mobile broadband technology allowing complete Converged video networks.
